Srinagar, Sep 24 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary and MLA Chrar-e-Sharief Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura on Monday stressed for the completion of the road projects in central Kashmir’s Chrar-e-Sharief area, asking the government to ensure the quality of work isn’t compromised in any way.
Touring various areas of his constituency, Hanjura stated that the PDP led government in the state spent 114 crores own road projects in Chrar—e-Sharief area alone and that the projects that were kept in limbo by the previous regimes were completed on priority for the greater welfare of the people of the constituency.
He also inspected the ongoing work on Branwar road of the area and asked the PMGSY engineers to ensure that the quality material is utilised for the construction of the road and no compromise in any way is done during the entire process.
He stated that 15.5 crore rupees have been approved for the construction of this vital road link and that the government must ensure that the entire amount is spent while disallowing any measure to undermine the quality of its construction and that the project must be completed by March next year.
He also took stock of the ongoing construction of the bridge at Doodh Ganga which is being constructed at an approved cost of Rs 5.5 crore rupees.
Hanjura also asked the PMGSY to initiate upgradation work on vital roads of Chrar-e-Sharief constituency including Chadora, Yachgahm, Panzenm Kanir Road, Ranger Wagam, Nowpora Brinjan, Hashroo Ranger, Bonyar GogjiPathri, Watkula WagniDarwan.
He furter asked the Jammu and Kashmir R&B department to speed-up the macadamisation of the roads in Nowpora Bangund, Lolipora Heripora, Hafroo Brinjan and several others.
Hanjura further underlined the importance of completion of these projects in a time-bound manner so that the masses are benefitted from these projects without any further delay and at an earliest.
Meeting scores of people’s delegations who highlighted the issues they face on daily basis, Hanjura assured them that he would personally take up the same with the concerned departments and would strive to resolve them on priority. (KNS)
