BOSE Chairperson says no information about the order
Srinagar, Aug 10 (KNS): The government order seems to have no takers on the ground as the directions to open the sub office of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) at Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was not taken into the consideration by the authorities so far, thus putting the orders of Under Secretary to Government into the dustbin.
An order regarding the opening of sub office JK Bose at Pattan was issued by the Under Secretary to Government School Education department, Muhammad Yaqoob Malik under number Edu/BOSE/38/2018, dated 11-06-2018, which reads that “I am directed to request you to kindly open a JK BOSE sub office at Pattan. The necessary office accommodation shall be arranged by the Tehsildar Pattan in consultation with the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla.”
However, the order issued by the government is yet to find any taker on the ground, thus leaving the Pattan populace to lurch at large.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Tehsildar Pattan, Syed Faheem said that nobody from the education department approached him so far. “I have personally identified three-four locations for the sub office but nobody from the department approached me or even talked to me in this regard,” he said.
He said that how could he take further steps when the department seems reluctant to take up the mater.
Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla, Abdul Ahad told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that he has taken up the matter with the Board officials but so far they didn’t respond over it, saying that the board officials informed him that ‘no decision has been taken in this regard so far.’
“Identifying the locations for the office won’t matter until the board authorities take up the matter and depute their Assistant Secretary over the issue,” he added.
Chairperson of JK BOSE, Veena Pandita while talking to KNS said that she doesn’t have any information regarding the order. “I will look into the order first,” she added.
Meanwhile, the locals especially the student community in Pattan said that the order issued b the government in June this year had brought a sigh of relief among the students but unfortunately the order was dumped by the officials, thus leaving them to suffer.
They said that the order was issued following the intervention of the then Minister for higher education and their local MLA, Imran Raza Ansari but the officials failed to take up the matter.
“We urge the authorities to look into the matter at an earliest and fulfil the genuine demands of the people especially the student community,” they said. (KNS)
