Srinagar, Dec 12 (KNS): Describing the ongoing bloodshed of innocent people in Kashmir as most worrisome, Former Minister and Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has urged for collective efforts to stop naked dance of death and destruction in Kashmir adding that enough is enough as much blood has flown down the Jhelum which must end now.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hakeem Yaseen has expressed his deep pain and anguish over the ongoing blood bath in Kashmir while urging for collective efforts to stop loss of precious human lives. He said killing of civilians or cops, both way Kashmir is losing creamy layer of its youth which shall have to stop now.
“Onus lies on the social and political leaders to ponder over the grim situation and collectively seek ways and means for ending the continued blood bath without waisting any further time, otherwise posterity will never forgive us,” Hakeem Yaseen maintained.
He said different political parties and civil society groups should join hands to force leaderships of India and Pakistan to come on a negotiating table to solve vexed Kashmir problem which is the main bone of contention between the two neighboring countries. He said both the countries should understand that better neighbourly relations were in the best interests of their respective common masses.
“People of both the neighboring countries want peace and good relations so why their urges and aspirations cannot be turned into reality,” Hakeem Yaseen questioned adding that leadership of both the countries should exhibit their will and wisdom to solve the Kashmir problem once for all.
He said it was need of the hour that leaderships of both India and Pakistan would shun their ego and arrogance and bring flexibility in their outlook vis-a-vis Kashmir imbroglio so that an amicable solution is worked out to end all hostilities and mistrust between the two neighbors.
Hakeem Yaseen said that the process of dialogue and reconciliation was the best way to solve all outstanding issue amicably as the wars and confrontation in the past has brought only death and destruction in both the neighboring countries. He said how long Kashmir will continue to bleed and see the naked dance of death and destruction while making a passionate appeal to the leaderships of both the countries to save Kashmir from further destruction on humanitarian grounds.
