Srinagar, Mar 02 (KNS): The residents living nearer to the Nallah Mawar in Nowgam area of Mawara in Langate constituency of Kupwara district are up in arms against the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) department for failing to start dredging process in the Nallah.
According to the KNS correspondent, the residents as well the school authorities, situated nearer to the Nallah said that they remain under constant threat of flood like situation in the area whenever it rains.
“The authorities must start dredging process in the Nallah so that the residents especially the student could heave a sigh of relief,” Headmaster of Govt High School Nowgam told KNS.
He also demanded that the authorities must repair the embankments of the Nallah keeping in view of the sufferings of students.
They later appealed I&FC department to look into the matter and fulfill their demands at an earliest. (KNS)
