Srinagar, Oct 08 (KNS): The Centre Government has not received any document from the mainstream political parties, including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party and Peoples Conference about ‘Self Rule’, ‘Autonomy’ and ‘Achievable Nationhood’, respectively, that talk about the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
In reply to an RTI filed by a social activist from Baramulla, Advocate Irfan Hafez Lone, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Office has said that the “information sought is not available in records.”
“The Prime Minister’s Office has no records available about the information sought,” reads the reply from the PMO’s office under the Order No. RTI/2548/2015-PMR.
The activist had wanted to know whether NC, PDP, PC had submitted their documents of Self Rule, Autonomy, and Achievable Nationhood and whether the centre had taken any action over these documents.
Similarly, the Ministry of Home Affairs has also replied that no such record is available in the Department of J&K Affairs.
“As per available record in this section (Department of J&K Affairs), the requisite information sought by you is NIL,” reads the reply of Home Department to the RTI under order No. 18012/01/2015-K.1.
Both the NC and PDP has never recommended to the centre for grant of Autonomy and Self Rule when both the parties ruled the state in 2008 and 2002 respectively, the reply said. (KNS)
