Terms PHE sector as worst sufferer of Govt apathy

Poonch, Dec 04 (KNS): Youth National Conference here has lambasted over present state government for shelving a number of road sector projects of Poonch district due to unknown reasons and also termed defunct state of Public Health Engineering sector as a living example of Government's apathy towards this border district.
National Conference leader Ajaz Jan, who today culminated his tour of different areas of Poonch including Mandi, said that road sector is one of the vital sector in terms of development and previous government paid a lot of concern to the same in Poonch district.
“Link road from Chamberkanari, Arai Malikan road, Arai Peeran road, Chikriban road, Naganari road, Chella Atoli, Khari Karmara, Degwar Terwan, Qasba, Kirni, Shahpur, Bandi Chechian, Khanetar, Moraban, Balnaie, Upper Baila, Morban, Dota Dhara and number of other road links were taken on board by our government and work was also started” Jan said accusing present government for shelving all the road projects for unknown reasons.
“Since new Government took over, not even a single inch of these roads has been constructed further which clearly exhibits poor performance of government in road sector” he said.
He further asked Public Works Department as well as PMGSY and other concerned department to come up with a clean statement over the issues which led to suspension of works on all above stated roads.
Besides, Jan, narrating defunct state of PHE department in Poonch, said that all areas of district are suffering badly due to poor performance of PHE department.
“Several water pumping motors are lying defunct with department failing to repair the same while even the water supplying tanker of department is off the road since months and water supply schemes are lying defunct in rural belts” said Jan.
He also accused Public Health Engineering Ministry of state government for turning blind eyes towards Poonch. (KNS)
