My security in Srinagar withdrawn before polling, restored after polling: Haq Khan

Srinagar, Apr 19 (KNS): Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) minister and incumbent General Secretary Abdul Haq Khan on Friday said that his security was withdrawn in Srinagar before the commencement of Lok Sabha elections and has been interestingly restored after the polling in Baramulla-Kupwara-Bandipora Lok Sabha constituency.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Abdul Haq Khan said that security was withdrawn to me in Srinagar weeks before the commencement of Lok Sabha elections and has been restored just four days back after polling in north Kashmir’s parliamentary constituency comprising Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara districts was over on 11th of April this year.

Saying that the security withdrawn to me before the commencement of parliamentary elections has been restored just few days back when the campaigning and polling in north Kashmir parliamentary constituency is over, Khan said “I am surprised and can’t say anything about it right now. Security withdrawal curtailed my movements when I was supposed to travel longer distances to campaign for my party candidate in three north Kashmir districts that went to polls on April 11. (KNS)
