Says Modi a man with gracious heart, won’t say no to Pahari’s’ betterment

Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Stressing for the need of rising above the party lines and working in Unisom for the national interest, PDP veteran and parliament member from north Kashmir Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Sunday said politicians must not create hurdles in making nation a prosperous one.
According to KNS correspondent, speaking during a function organized by Pahari cultural and welfare forum Baig said that if Government of India can accord schedule tribe status to Pahari’s then why same is not being done in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that people living in the mountainous regions of the state can unite for the better common good and no one should object to such a positive development.
The PDP veteran maintained that the ruling party is keep changing in the state but nations don’t and that is why the political parties must rise above the political differences and work for a common goal that is to usher development and prosperity in the society.
Baig expressed hope that soon to chief minister Mehbooba Mufti will send file related to the betterment of Pahari’s to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Modi has a gracious heart and I am hopeful that he will not say no to the proposal. It is unfortunate that we live in such an environment where no one has the ability to understand our hardships,” Baig said.
The parliament member from north Kashmir maintained that history bears testimony to the fact that among the first races that settled in the state are Pahari people. Baig while thanking the people for electing him as a patron for the Pahari forum said the responsibility given to him is immense but the real objective will be achieved when all the Pahari’s people unite and strive for the one common role.
