Srinagar, Mar 09 (KNS): J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian has expressed deep displeasure over the fact that government has started preparations for conducting annual Amarnath Yatra and the same government maintains hypocrisy ridden silence on removal of ban on 8 Muharram procession and main Youm-e-Ashura procession from Abi Guzar to Ali Park Zadibal.
Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian’s Aga Syed Muntazir said, “The discriminatory and myopic policies of the government have sabotaged this cultural heritage of Kashmir and sowed the seed of discord among the generations in past decades by banning the prime Muharram procession of Kashmir.”
Aga Muntazir said we are not against any religion or any religious pilgrimage but respect all religions however the authorities who are at the helm of affairs in Kashmir over past few decades have showed double standards by allowing Dussehra to Amaranth yatra and making all arrangements for the it and on the same parlance using iron fist against Muharram processions and Azadars who resist this unreasonable restrictions aptly showing cruel attitude.
J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian hopes authorities and the ruling regime would in coming days feel the saner perspective and take steps on the burning demand. (KNS)
