Movement of public transport increasing in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 18 (KNS): After months of shutdown, the movement of public transport in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley is improving with each passing day as life is inching back towards normalcy in the Valley.

Cabs, mini-buses and auto-rickshaws are back on roads in various parts of Srinagar and other districts. According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), after continuous lockdown of trade and transport from August 5, life is gradually limping back to normalcy and most of the modes of public transport have been restored.

Officials said that Intra-district and inter-district connectivity of public transport has improved significantly. Over ensuring smooth flow of traffic in Srinagar city, officials said that traffic police took serious note of the encroachments and didn’t allow vendors on Monday to erect their stalls on roadside which was the main reason of frequent massive traffic jams.
