Mirwaiz while extending full support to the announcement made by the Joint Resistance Leadership with regard to observing complete strike on February 9 and marching towards UN office Sonwar to submit a memorandum seeking return of the mortal remains of Bhat and Guru from New Delhi, urged the people to support it ,to send a strong message to New Delhi that Kashmiris can’t be bullied into Submission through the policy of repression and military might.
Mirwaiz said that Kashmiris are struggling for a just political cause since past seven decades and the sacrifices offered by Bhat and Guru were for this cause. Mirwaiz said that the best way of paying tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir, including Shaheed Bhat and Shaheed Guru is that people from all faiths and hues must remain steadfast and committed towards the cause that has priceless sacrifices at its back.
Mirwaiz said that New Delhi along with its local collaborators in Kashmir backed by lakhs of forces and huge military apparatus have left no stone unturned to muzzle dissent and resistance in Kashmir and every day new suppressive methods are employed to make the people of Kashmir bend on their knees and surrender. He said that while we are up against a mighty and arrogant adversary the way to defeat its moves of suppression is that people of Kashmir stay united and remain steadfast towards the mission of martyrs. He said people also need to remain alert to the day-to-day conspiracies of Delhi aimed at changing the basic nature of the dispute. Mirwaiz said our struggle is difficult but our faith in its success strong.
