Srinagar, Dec 09 (KNS): Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of several prominent individuals in the region and conveyed condolences to their families.
The Mirwaiz paid tribute to Muhammad Abdullah Bhat, father of journalist Rifat Abdullah Bhat from Badran Magam, Budgam, for his social services and respected role in the community. He conveyed condolences over phone to his sons, Basharat Ahmad and Rifat Abdullah. A delegation, acting on his instructions, visited Badran Magam to offer condolences and recite Fatiha.
He also expressed grief over the sudden demise of Masood Ahmad Khan, elder brother of long-time associate and editor-in-chief of Sada-e-Kahkashan, Muzaffar Ahmad Khan of Kathi Darwaza, Srinagar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelCondolences were extended to his sons Sozeen Ahmad and Sahil Masood, as well as to social activist Parvaiz Ahmad Shah.
Further, the Mirwaiz condoled with Pirzada Abdul Hameed of Mirza Kamil Hawal and social activist Manzoor Ahmad Qureshi on the passing of their family member. He also expressed sorrow over the deaths of Haji Ghulam Rasool Khar, former mutawalli of Masjid Riyaz-us-Salihin, and Bashir Ahmad Qureshi of Saraf Kadal.
Dr. Umar Farooq prayed for maghfirah and Jannat for all the departed and urged the community to remember their contributions to society.(KNS).
