DIG says everything is safe, nobody is injured

Srinagar, Jul 21 (KNS): Militants on Saturday afternoon attacked the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers in Mattan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said.
According to the KNS correspondent, sources said that the militants fired upon CRPF men who were on ROP duty on Khanabal-Pahalgam road at Bumzoo in Mattan area.
Talking to reporters following the incident, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Kashmir Range, Amit Kumar said that the forces were deployed on the road who were attacked by the militants, saying that nobody is injured in the attack.
He said that troopers who were attacked also retaliated.
In reply to a query, DIG SKR also said that everything is safe.
Meanwhile, police said that the search operation is under process to nab the attackers.
“At #Bamzoo #Mattan militants fired at SFs which was repulsed. Search is going on,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted. (KNS)
