Mian Altaf seeks revoking of orders banning local labourers of extraction in Ganderbal

Jammu, Dec 19 (KNS): Senior National conference leader and former MLA Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed has urged the administration to revoke the orders about leasing out the mineral blocks to contractors and barring local labourers from extraction of raw materials from nallah Sindh in Ganderbal district.
In a statement to KNS, Mian Altaf said that thousands of labourers from Arch, Nunner and Ganderbal areas are earning livelihood by working as labourers for extraction of raw materials from nallah Sindh in Ganderbal district however in the recent past the government ordered about leasing out the mineral blocks to contractors which left over a thousand labourers jobless.
Mian Altaf Ahmed said that in view of the unemployment and other issues the labourers were earning their livelihood however the decision to lease out the mineral blocks has left them disappointed and jobless, adding that the decision has triggered so much of the resentment among people.
Mian Altaf Ahmed urged the government to revoke the order and allow the local labourers to work as earlier without any hardships. (KNS)
