Srinagar, Mar 14 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti today pitched for early elections stating the peoples government should take over the reins.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at her Gupkar residence, Mehbooba said that people are facing multiple problems and there is no one to listen to them.
“It is a good thing that despite a phase of worst situation the Kartarpur corridor continued. This is a hope for peace,” she said.
“We keep on telling that the animosity between Hindustan aur Pakistan will have its consequences on Kashmiris,” She added.
Mehbooba said if Kartarpur is open, the Rawlakote should be also open. “They open and close Uri. All roads should be opened permanently,” she said.
Mehbooba said that PDP’s stand is clear that the elections should be held sooner than later.
“People are in miseries. The arrest spree of youth should continue,” She said. (KNS)
