Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNS): This is to inform with profound grief and sorrow that maternal uncle of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti breathed his last on Saturday in Srinagar after brief illness.
According to party spokesman, Muhammad Shafi Farooqi, elder brother of PDP senior leader Mohammad Sartaj Madni breathed his last on Saturday at SKIMS where he was undergoing treatment for the past few days.
On behalf of the entire party leadership, PDP Patron Muzaffar Hussain Beigh has condoled Mr Farooqi’s demise and has expressed solidarity with Begum Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Mehbooba Mufti, Sartaj Madni and other members of the bereaved family.
The PDP patron has prayed for departed soul and patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. (KNS)
