Srinagar, Jul 15 (KNS): The state’s estates department on Saturday said that scores of the legislators and political appointees have vacated from the government quarters since the Governor rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir.
Director Estates, Tassaduq Jeelani told Kashmir New Service (KNS) that some of the legislators have vacated from the quarters while some are still occupied it. “Former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, Haseeb Drabu, Altaf Bukhari, Priya Sethi have vacated from the Jammu quarters provided to them,” Jeelani said, adding that former minister Naeem Akhter, Advocate General and other political appointees have also vacated from their Jammu quarters.
He informed that Mehbooba vacated from Jammu residence two days after the PDP-BJP bonhomie ended in the State.
The Director further stated that maximum of the political appointees have also vacated from the residences while some are vacating at present.
Jeelani further stated that there is still time, but the evacuation process will be started and notices will be issued once the due date is over. (KNS)
