Mawer, adjoining villages face severe power crisis; appeals authorities to ensure electricity

Mawer, Nov 15 (KNS): Residents of various villages of Mawer area on Sunday complained the area is without electricity from last three days and the concern department is watching as mute spectators.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, the villagers told that from last three days the department failed to clear the fault and ensure electricity in the area.
They said the Nowgam Feeder is always facing the power crisis during winters and the department has failed to end the miseries of the people since years.
A residents of the area told KNS that we are regularly appealing the department to look into the matter and every time we are being assured to address the grievances but so far nothing has been done in this regard.
However, when KNS contacted to Executive Engineer PDD Sub Division Handwara Mohammad Maqbool, he admitted that there is a problem and said that they are not receiving  the proper supply from the receiving station Arampora Kupwara due which power crisis are being reported regularly from the Division ,  he however said that he willredress the issue on priority basis.
