Srinagar, Jul 21 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir Masarat Aalam Bhat here on today brought from Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu to Srinagar for the hearing of a case lodged against him in Police Station Nowhatta Srinagar.
League Chairman Masrat Aalam was produced today before Additional District and Session Judge where he hearing the arguments.
After hearing, the Masrat was taken back to Kotbalwal Jail Jammu, League Spokesman Sajad Ayobi said that prolonging the illegal detention of Masarrat showed their frustration.
In a statement issued to KNS, he said that he has been implicating in fictitious cases and languished in jail which is worst form of human rights violation.
He said Govt instead of honouring court orders are ignoring all norms and rules, Alam is being subjected to political vendetta. He said that prolonging the illegal detention of Masarat showed their frustration.
The policy adopted by India through which Masarat sahib is being moved from one police station to another cannot break his will and courage, he added. He said that the government is deliberately doing it under a plan so that he is not released by the court.
He said that if India is really sincere and firm on dialogue process, then they should release Masrat Aalam.
League Spokesman appealed the rights-defender bodies including the Red Cross and Human Rights Watch to take the note of the “worst political revenge against Masrat Aalam and illegal Detention by the government and asked them “to play their role. (KNS)
