Srinagar, May 09 (KNS): A market checking was held in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.

Officials said that a team headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Naib Tehsildar, Executive Officer MC Handwara, SHO and Food experts conducted market checking today and recovered a fine of Rs 3400 from the norm violators.

The rates for food stuff were fixed by the authorities today with officials saying that any shopkeeper found guilty will be dealt with strictly. (KNS)
