 Srinagar, Jan 15 (KNS):  A man died in Tangmarg village of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday as he could not be taken to hospital on time due to blockade of link roads in the area.

 
The deceased was identified as Nazir Ahmad Shiekh resident of Reshipora Tangmarg  
 
 Meanwhile a woman also gave birth to a child on road in Langate village after she couldn’t reach hospital due to blockade of road.
 
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service KNS, said a women from Khanoo Babgund had complained of labour pain and due to blockade of road, her relatives took her on shoulders to hospital. While reaching to Unisoo village she gave birth to a child, a family member told KNS.
 
 However, later in charge BMO Langate Dr.   Firdous along with Ambulance and Medical team visited to spot and took the patient to Sub District Hospital Langate.
 
A doctor at SDH Langate said both mother and baby are stable.
 
 
 
Similar report was also reported form Malbagh Lokipora in Kralgund where a patient, Shaheena of malbagh Lokipora  was also lifted on shoulders for more than 5 kilometres to main road where from she was taken to district hospital Baramulla for treatment.
 
The family members told KNS that it took them more than an hour to reach the main road as the important link road was not cleared of the snow.
 
The reports of blocked roads were received across the Kashmir including Kupwara, Handwara, Baramulla, Tangmarg, Pattan, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Shopian, and Anantnag districts where locals complained that no link roads have been cleared by the authorities.
 
Meanwhile the administration said they are working on war footing basis to clear the roads and to restore the water and electricity in these area (KNS).
