Srinagar, Apr 23 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the prolonged incarceration of JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal who is lodged at police station Kothi Bagh from last many days.
The statement issued to KNS said that Noor was today again presented before court which extended his remand for five more days. “He has been again shifted to police station Kothibagh,” the statement said.
Malik while condemning the spree of arrests, nocturnal raids, slapping of PSA on political activists and other oppressive tactics of police said that during recent days an ugly upsurge is seen in these undemocratic acts while is highly condemnable .
He said that police has actually declared a war on peaceful activists and resistance camp and young boys are being pushed to the wall, which is actually act of promoting violence in Kashmir and highly condemnable.
Meanwhile, Malik has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of the wife of Tehreek-i- Hurriyat leader Ghulam Mohammad Safi.
While paying tributes to the departed soul, Malik said that her contribution in resistance movement will be always remembered.
Malik also prayed for her heavenly abode and for the Sabr-i-jamil of his bereaved family. (KNS)
