Principle says, ‘male teacher not removed, changed on principle of rotation’

Srinagar, Nov 10 (KNS): A male teacher supervising the examinations at college of education M A road Srinagar has been removed on fake charges of harassment from a female teacher from whom a chit of paper to be used for copying was recovered by the said male teacher.
A group of students called on Srinagar office of Kashmir News Service (KNS) and claimed that the male teacher identified as Prof. Mustafa Majid recovered a chit of paper meant for copying purposes from the pocket of a female teacher doing the job of supervision in the examination centre but female teacher surprisingly accused the male teacher of harassment just to evade action for promoting copying in the examination hall. The students alleged that the authorities on the baseless allegation of the female teacher removed the male teacher without verifying the facts.
The students said “we are witness to the incident and are surprised to see a teacher being punished for trying to curb copying on a baseless allegation from a female teacher who tended to promote copying in the examination hall.”
When contacted Principal College of Education Seema Naz told Kashmir News Service (KNS) “I didn’t receive any written complaint but I was told that a female teacher is complaining of harassment from a male teacher and I directed that the mail teacher be asked to report in another class. This is no issue. In fact both male and female teachers are deputed from schools and we have to take care of both the teachers and the students. Sometimes we take the side of teacher and sometimes we side with the student just to maintain balance. Male teacher has not been removed but on the principle of rotation he has been changed. I can assure you that nothing wrong has happened during the examination.” (KNS)
