Police lodges FIR for using abusive language against CM

Srinagar, May 21 (KNS): Taking strong notice of the abusive language used against Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti State police has decided to lodge FIR against the brother former minister and BJP leader Chowdhary Lal Singh.
Pertinently a video has gone viral in which Chowdhary Jitender Singh the brother of BJP leader and former minister Chowdhary Lal Singh is seen using shameful and vulgar language against the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti during the protest in support of Kathua rape accused on Sunday in Jammu.
Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the police has taken strong cognizance of the act and has decided to lodge the FIR against the former minister’s brother. DGP added that he has personally directed the concerned SSP to lodge an FIR immediately. In the meantime unconfirmed reports suggested that police may arrest the accused however there was no official confirmation to it.
Meanwhile, opposition leader and former chief minister Omar Abdullah while taking strong objection to the abusive language against Mehbooba Mufti has demanded stern action against Lal Singh’s brother. In a tweet Omar said that such a language against Mehbooba Mufti was unacceptable and demanded an FIR be lodged against the erring BJP leader’s kin. (KNS)
