Srinagar, May 17 (KNS): The callousness of the district administration in Kupwara can be gauged from the fact that a Public Park constructed by Tourism Department in the town has been now turned into car parking.

Locals have lashed out at the district administration for being a silent spectator against this callousness.

The Public Park was constructed in 2010 with a cost of around Rs 35 lakh by Lolab-Bungus-Drungyari Tourism Development Authority (LBDTDA) so that people could rest in the park during their leisure time.

But the locals said that the district administration has allowed the park to go into ruin and snatch the public of a resting place. (KNS)
