Kupwara MLA Protests ‘Advisor’s Interference’, Writes to CS

Kupwara, July 20 (KNS): MLA Mir Mohammad Fayaz has accused a Chief Minister’s advisor of “unlawful interference” in his constituency and urged the Chief Secretary to stop the practice.

In a letter, Fayaz alleged that the advisor a former rival who lost the recent Assembly election has been summoning officials, attending official meetings, and influencing decisions in Kupwara despite holding no constitutional post.

“The advisor has no authority to bypass the people’s mandate.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHis role must be clearly defined,” Fayaz wrote, warning that he may move court if the matter is not resolved.

He said the interference undermines the dignity of elected representatives and “turns MLAs into mere spectators.” Fayaz added that his protest is aimed at “protecting democratic institutions, not personal rivalry.”(KNS)
