Secy asks Dir OCPS to provide 30 beds, prepare estimates for more facilities

Srinagar, Oct 23 (KNS): A day after Kashmir News Service (KNS) reported about the pathetic condition of orphans at Markazi Falahi Itfal centre Manzgam village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, the Member Parliament Nazir Ahmad Laway released rupees ten lakhs out of his constituency development fund for the availability and upgradation of basic facilities at this neglected orphanage and Secretary Social Dr Farooq Lone along with Director ICDS and Director ICPS visited this government sponsored orphanage for taking stock of the available facilities and the demands of the management and as well as the orphans.
During his visit to the orphanage Secretary Social welfare Dr Farooq Lone directed for immediate improvement in facilities to the inmates and issued on spot instructions to Mission Director OCPS to provide 30 beds for inmates. He also called for urgently preparing the estimates for renovation of the children home. (KNS)
