Srinagar, Jul 05 (KNS): The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has said the "nefarious" design of top Hurriyat Leaders and other separatists are "pushing the future of Kashmiri youth in dark."

According to a statement issued by MHA, the Government of India has highlighted that the separatist leaders continued to "mislead the Kashmiri youth, inciting them to join militancy, stone pelting and other subversive activities in the name of "so-called" freedom struggle."

The MHA has named over a dozen senior separatist leaders, whose children and other family members are pursuing education and doing jobs in various foreign countries.

The Union Home Ministry has stated that as many as 210 kin of 112 separatist leaders have been settled in various foreign countries, doing jobs or studying in reputed institutions. The released list includes names of 14 prominent separatist leaders, whose children, family members are in abroad "even as they continue to instigate the Kashmiri youth to indulge in stone pelting, joining militancy and other anti-national activities, thus destroying their career and future."

According to the list issued by the MHA, Khalid Ashraf and Aabid Ashraf both sons of separatist leader Ashraf Sehrai are working in Saudi Arabia and are well settled there and enjoying all privileges of life. Similarly, Mohammad bin Qasim and Ahmad bin Qasim, the two sons of Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi are studying in top educational institutions in Malaysia and Australia respectively.

The MHA has released a list of 14 separatist leaders, whose 21 kin were either doing jobs or studying in foreign countries including US, Britain, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Malaysia and Pakistan. There are reports that over 300 family members and relatives of 112 separatist leaders were doing jobs or studying in these countries.

Source of funding of the studies of the separatists’ kin is also a major issue on which the Central Intelligence agencies were working. "There were reports that funds received by the separatists from abroad to create unrest in the Kashmir valley have been used by them for studies of their children."

These expose are an eye opener for the people of Kashmir, especially the youth, who were being misled by the separatists and provoked to join militancy and stone pelting or other illegal activities but their own family members and relatives continued to enjoy the privileges abroad. It is high time for the parents of the youth to understand the nefarious design of the "so-called" Hurriyat Leaders and counsel their wards to not to fall prey in the trap of such self-styled leaders and destroying their future. The youth should also understand the credentials of these leaders and should not take their dictates for indulging in subversive activities like stone pelting and militancy activities, rather they must concentrate on their education and career for their better future."
