Srinagar, Apr 02 (KNS): Reacting to the statement made by NC Vice President Omar Abdullah over ‘Sadr-e-Riyasat’, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Khalid Jehangir Tuesday said the Omar can’t befool people for a long.

Addressing workers convention in Srinagar, Khalid said that if Omar is serious in his claims then why did Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah surrendered before Indira Gandhi while making an accord.

He added that Omar is making hollow promises with the people and he can’t befool the people for a long. Khalid said that they ruled for at least 50 years but failed to fulfill the promises done with the people here.

Khalid added that party (NC) is making contradictory statements in Srinagar and New Delhi. “The party is saying one thing in Kashmir and use the other language in New Delhi,” he added. (KNS)
