Srinagar, Dec 28 (KNS): Strongly condemning the beating of Kashmiri inmates in Kathua jail, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has said that Kashmiri political prisoners have to face the wrath of jail authorities who have been directed to trouble the Kashmiri prisoners. The party said that it is the most uncivilized form of cruelty to beat any person while he is in jail and unfortunately this cruelty is in practice in the disputed region.
Expressing concern over the condition of prisoners languishing in far off jails in and outside Jammu Kashmir, the Freedom Party Spokesperson said in a statement said that Kashmiri prisoners are facing political vendetta only because of their particular political ideology.
New Delhi is not ready to tolerate its political opponents, that is why it has minimized their political space either by jailing them or placing restrictions on them. India is neither ready to pay heed to the common aspirations of Kashmiri people that is why the men in uniform have been directed to use as much force as they can to silent the voices. These men in uniform have been arresting leaders, activists and common people in fake cases only to implement graveyard’s silence in the region. (KNS)
