Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): A fresh snowfall was received today by plains and hilly areas of Kashmir valley as had been predicted by weatherman.
Reports said the famous Ski resort in north Kashmir’s Gulmarg received more than 7 inches of snow and the tourists were seen enjoying the snow in the ski resort.
According to KNS Correspondent, the tourist resort in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam received 5 inches, Pir Ki Gali received 3 inches, Margin top received 8 inches of snow, .
The Farkin top in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district received 1.5 feet of snow and the snowfall in the area was continue till late evening,
Reports also said that the Kupwara-Tangdar road was closed for the traffic movement after the snowfall in the area and dozens of vehicles are stranded in different places of Kupwara.
Similar reports of snowfall was also received from Kupwara,Handwara, Sopore,Baramulla, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Anantnag.Kulgam, Shopian and the snowfall in these districts was continuing till this report was filled.
