Jammu, Jan 24 (KNS): In an embarrassing situation for ruling PDP, two of its legislators protested outside the Legislative Assembly here demanding construction of Sadhna tunnel on Kupwara- Karnah highway.
According to the KNS correspondent, holding a banner scribbled 'We Want Sadhna Tunnel', the PDP MLA Raja Manzoor Khan and MLC Javaid Mirchal raised slogans demanding tunnel from Chowkibal to Karnah.
Recently, 11 passengers were killed when snow avalanches hit two passengers vehicles along the Sadhna top.
Residents have called the road stretch as "death trap" during winter as snow avalanches are frequent in the season. (KNS)
