Srinagar, July 19 (KNS): In a major step to boost youth entrepreneurship, J&K Bank today organized ‘Roz-e-YUVA’ and ‘Udyami YUVA Day’ events across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir under the Government’s flagship initiative Mission YUVA.

Hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs were handed over loan sanction letters during these events to help them start their own businesses. These programs will now be held weekly throughout the Mission YUVA period to ensure wider outreach.

The main event took place at Government Degree College, Ganderbal, where J&K Bank MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee was the chief guest. He was joined by Mission YUVA Director Shahzad Alam and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore, along with senior officials from the Bank and district administration.

Speaking at the event, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee expressed happiness over the enthusiastic participation of the youth and reaffirmed the Bank’s full support for Mission YUVA.
“This mission is about building a better future. By providing easy access to finance, we are not just giving out loans, but investing in the dreams of our youth,” he said. He encouraged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to create sustainable livelihoods for themselves and others.

Mission Director Shahzad Alam praised the Bank’s role in empowering youth and said, “This partnership is key to the success of Mission YUVA. Events like today show real progress on the ground.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“We want more young people to come forward, participate, and become job creators,” he added.

Welcoming the participants, Divisional Head (Kashmir) Shabir Ahmad said that Roz-e-YUVA represents a joint commitment to youth empowerment and regional growth. “Mission YUVA is creating the right platform for a sustainable and vibrant economy,” he noted.

Many of the beneficiaries at the Ganderbal event were first-time entrepreneurs. They interacted with officials and expressed their gratitude for the support.

Similar Roz-e-YUVA events were also held in other districts, including Srinagar, Rajouri, and Kupwara, featuring loan distributions, counselling sessions, and motivational interactions with bank officials.
