Handwara, Oct 23 (KNS): An RTI activist from Mawer Village of Handwara on Friday alleged that "Jal Shakt Department" erstwhile Public Health Engineering (PHE) department Handwara has failed to provide the RTI reply despite passing more than a month.

According to the RTI activist Firdous shafi Mir he has submitted the RTI on first week of September and till know the department is not providing the documents asked in the RTI application.

He also alleged that whenever he asked them for the same the employees delaying regularly due to unknown reasons.

Notably, various people of the area have complained that the Jal Shakti department is delaying to provide the RTI reply in time.

However, when KNS contacted to Executive Engineer Jal Shakti division Handwara Zubair Ahmad he admitted the delying of RTI replies by the department and said he has also given two notice to staff for not replying RTIs in time and said he will wait for few days after that i will write to Chief Engineer for the same he added (KNS)
