Srinagar, Nov 26 (KNS): Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Sunday said that the gruesome atrocities committed by Indian forces across North and South Kashmir, are crossing its limits.
“The condition of thousands of innocents languishing in jails and police stations is also worsening day by day,” JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik said in a statement issued to KNS.
“Kashmiries are always protesting against these human rights violations and strike call for Monday, 27 November 2017 is also intended for highlighting these oppressive measures,” JRL said.
Reiterating the call of strike on Nov 27, JRL said that “Indian occupational forces have unleashed a reign of terror across whole valley especially South and North of Kashmir, where crackdowns, vandalizing properties, beating, torturing common people, arrests and other oppressive measures have became an order of the day.”
JRL said similarly NIA and ED ‘terrorism’ is also going on through which Indians intend to defeat ‘our resistance’.
Leaders said that likewise thousands of Kashmiris have been put into jails and torture centers where these people are terrorized and intimidated endlessly.
They said that from Tihar jail to the jails of Jammu Kashmir, Kashmiri leaders and other people are being put to worst hardships.
Leaders said that JRL has appealed for a complete shutdown against these atrocities and tomorrow (Monday), “Kashmiris will observe a complete shutdown against growing state-terrorism,” they said.
JRL appealed people to support this strike and observe a complete shutdown tomorrow. (KNS)
