Srinagar, Sep 24 (KNS): The Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum organized a historical Blood donation Camp at its Central Office DIET Bemina Srinagar on Sunday. More than 625 volunteers donated blood at the occasion.
The entire leadership of JKTF from state, province and District under the leadership of President EJAC and Chairman JKTF Abdul Qayoom Wani along with hundreds of Teachers donated blood.
The programme was inaugurated by Esteemed Commissioner Secretary Education Farooq Ahmad Shah in the presence of Director School Education Kashmir G. N. Itoo, Dy. Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rashid, Director SKIMS A. G. Ahanger and Principal Medical Collage Srinagar Dr. Saima, Dy. Director AIDS Control, Joint Director SIE Mahboob Hussain, CEO Srinagar Farooq Ahmad.
The honourable guests were welcomed by President EJAC and Chairman JKTF along with the entire leadership of the state and Provence. The medical fraternity form JVC (SKIMS Medical College) Bemina, SMHS Srinagar, SKIMS Soura, Bone and Joint Hospital Barzalla, L.D. Hospital Srinagar, JLNM Hospital Rainawari and Noora Hospital HMT were provided the space to collect the blood.
On the occasion president Private School Association G. N. War, State leaders of Employees Joint action committee; Farooq Ahmad Trali, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam Khurshid Ahmad Bhat, Shabir Ahmad Langoo, Malik Farooq, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, Sajad Ahmad Parray, Mir Fayaz, Latif Ahmad Malik, Muzaffar Ahmad Ganaie, Gulzar Ahmad, president collage Teachers Association Tariq Ashaie, state leader of Chamber of Commerce Farooq Ahmad Dar and other dignitaries encouraged the volunteers.
In his inaugural speech Commissioner Secretary Education declared the event as one of the highest human services and applauded the efforts of A. Q. Wani and his team for organizing such a mega blood donation camp. He admitted that after organizing this blood donation camp the self esteem and reputation of the Education Department has touched the horizon.
In his address the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rashid hailed the endeavor taken-up by the president EJAC and Chairman JKTF A. Q. Wani for organizing the record breaking event of blood donation.
While appreciating the multi-dimensional role of teachers he admitted that teachers have yet again conveyed a message that besides their professional duties they stand-up for any sacred cause in the service of humanity. The blood donation was kicked off by president EJAC and Chairman JKTF A. Q. Wani and Director SKIMS by offering their blood for the sacred cause at the occasion.
In the concluding ceremony the president EJAC and Chairman JKTF A. Q. Wani thanked all leaders and volunteers of Teacher Forum for making the Donation camp successful. He thanked all the esteemed Guests, officials of Education Department and Medical Department, Chairperson BOSE, Municipal Corporation, Police Department, Principal DIET, the staff members of all the hospitals for rendering their all possible support.
He further said that this was an endeavor purely on the lines of sincerity and humility. He further said that Teachers Forum has not only advocated the cause of Teachers only but has always been in the front line whether it was the Earth Quake in 2005, the devastating floods in 2014 or any cause for the sake of humanity. He declared that after the debut such programmes with be organized in every district.
Wani applauded the role of all the stake holders who were instrumental in making this blood donation camp a historical success and thanked one and all for their untiring and relentless services offered to this sacred cause. (KNS)
