Schools, colleges to remain shut till Wednesday

Srinagar, Mar 05 (KNS): Authorities on Monday decided to close all the educational institutes in the Valley till Wednesday in view of the prevailing situation.
Director School Education Kashmir, G N Itoo told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the all the educational institutes including Primary Schools, High Schools and Higher Secondary’s will continue to remain closed till Wednesday.
Secretary Education told KNS that Board of School Education (BOSE) has postponed all the exams scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) chairman, Lateef-uz-Zaman Deva told KNS that the KAS exams scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed. “Next dates for the exams will be notified soon,” he said.
Meanwhile, officials in the Kashmir University told KNS that in view of concerns expressed by students and consequent upon the prevailing circumstances, the class-work at University of Kashmir shall remain suspended on March 6, 2018 (Tuesday).
“Furthermore, all examinations scheduled to be held on March 6 and March 7 (Tuesday and Wednesday) are postponed. Fresh dates for the deferred examinations shall be notified separately, later,” officials said. (KNS)
