Srinagar, Jun 02 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement leader Feroze Peerzada has saluted bravery of tourist guide Rauof Ahmad Dar who sacrificed his life while saving drowning tourists in river Lidder in Pahalgam yesterday.

In a statement issued to KNS, Feroze Peerzada while saluting Rounf Ahmad for showing exemplary bravery, has said that he has kept the flag of Kashmiriyat atop. He said that JKPM leadership was proud of states youth who keep service to humanity close to their heart.

Feroze Peerzada while lauding bravery of Rauof Ahmad quoted Quranic verse:- "And who ever saves the life of one person it is as if he saved the whole of human kind” (surah Al-maidah).

“This is called true Kashmiriyat and really he was a true hero,” Feroze Peerzada added while conveying his heartfelt condolences to bereaved family. He has prayed
“May Allah bless his soul with highest place in Jannat and bestow his noor on his family. He was an epitom of humanity and Kashmiriyat.

Feroze Peerzada has appealed to Government to support his family for their livelihood. He said Rauof Ahmad has left a great message behind for the whole nation that Kashmiris truly values for their tourists irrespective of caste, color and creed. (KNS)
