Restore trust deficit New Delhi created in Kashmir: Soz

Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNS): Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma Thursday morning met senior Congress leader Saifuddin Soz, before leaving for his two-day visit to Jammu.
The senior Congress leader Soz confirmed to KNS that he had a candid talk with Sharma and conveyed to him that much has been talked and spoken about Kashmir. “Now it is a time to hold a meaningful dialogue,” Soz said.
The former Pradesh Congress Committee president said he told Sharma that there are several Working Group and Interlocutor reports gathering dust, but the time has come that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should make this fresh process a meaningful one before losing any more time.
“Tell New Delhi that there is a great trust deficit between Union of India and Kashmir. So many reports have been submitted, but nothing happened. There should be a decisive talk preferably with Hurriyat and lose no time. It is New Delhi which created the trust deficit and New Delhi should restore that trust,” he said.
Soz said he conveyed to Sharma that general amnesty be given to the boys who are in jails, even if they had picked up the gun, but have not been involved in any killing. (KNS)
