Expresses deep shock and grief over Shopian killings

Srinagar, Mar 05 (KNS): Expressing deep shock and grief over the latest killings in Shopian at the hands of Indian army, and terming the situation in Kashmir as war like, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that Indian forces have become habitual of killing innocent Kashmiris on one pretext or the other.
In a statement issued to KNS, Party secretary general, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said that Indian army and other forces have waged a war against the Kashmiri people and they see all Kashmiri people as conquered and think to kill every Kashmiri is their right. That is why our sons and brothers are butchered at the hands of Indian forces every now and then. Indian army brutally killed four unarmed civilians namely Suhail Ahmad Wagay (22) son Khalid Ahmad Wagay of Pinjora, Shahid Khan (21) son of Bashir Ahmad Khan of Malik Gund, Shahnawaz Wagay (23) son of Ali Mohammad of Langandora Trenze, and Gowhar Ahmad Mir (24) of Molu Dangerpora apart from martyring two militants Amir Ahmed Malik son of Bashir Ahmed Malik of Harmain and Ashiq Ahmad of Rakpora in Shopian.
Moulana Tari said that Indian armed forces have once again demonstrated that in fact they are at war with Kashmiri people and are here to kill every freedom loving Kashmiri. The killings in Shopian at the hands of Indian forces are condemnable, shameful and against the principles of humanity. In fact Indian forces have been told by the masters staying in New Delhi to kill Kashmiris whenever they get a chance, so the trigger happy men in uniform out-rightly open the mouths of their guns on every incident. They launch operations and establish nakas only to get a chance to kill people.
While strongly condemning the Shopian killings, JKDFP secretary general said this ruthless and barbaric act of Indian army is the latest example of Indian imperialism which is beating the drum of democracy world over. Moulana Tari appealed the International Human Rights groups to come forward and take concrete steps to save the oppressed people of Kashmir from the worst form of state-terrorism at the hands of the men in uniform.
Meanwhile, JKDFP has strongly condemned the shifting of incarcerated resistance leaders Dr Mohammad Qasim Faktoo and Dr Mohammad Shafi Shariati to jails outside the valley. The party said that in fact our leaders including JKDFP incarcerated chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah are being punished for their pro-freedom stance.
The party stressed that the decision to shift Dr Mohammad Qasim Faktoo ,Dr Mohammad Shafi Shariati and other political prisoners should immediately be revoked. (KNS)
