‘Time has come for final settlement of Kashmir dispute’

Srinagar, Apr 16 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has welcomed the Indian and Pakistani Army chiefs for advocating peace and resolution of Kashmir dispute. The party Secretary General, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said in a statement that two Army chiefs are on the same page and now it is the turn of the political leadership of the two countries to come across the table and exhibit maturity.
Pertinently, Pak Army chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said in a statement that that peaceful resolution of India-Pakistan disputes, including the core issue of Kashmir, can be found through comprehensive and meaningful dialogue. His Indian counterpart Bipin Rawat also stated same kind of opinion. He said “We have to get our act together, sit down together, work together and make sure that we all get united and bring about peace.”
Moulana Tari said that time has come for the final settlement of Kashmir dispute as it has badly hit the economies of India and Pakistan resulting in countless issues in both the neighbouring countries. At a time when both the Armies are advocating peace their respective political leaderships should also follow and accept the facts about a political dispute which is endangering stability of the whole region.
Meanwhile, expressing solidarity and sympathy with the parents of Mohammad Amir Lone, of Chatturgul Kangan who succumbed to his injuries after hit by government force’s bullets, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that using brutal force against unarmed protesters is the worst kind of state terrorism Kashmiris are facing at the hands of India and its local agents.
Paying his heartfelt tributes to slain Amir a JKDFP spokesperson said that whenever Kashmiris try to raise their voice, they are being targeted by bullets and pellets at the behest of those politicians who used to be so called champions of civil liberty when out of power. It is these power thirsty so called politicians who have jailed the leaders like JKDFP chief Shabir Ahmad Shah only to create political vacuum among Kashmiri people. It is again these so called rulers who have booked our youth in fake cases and have destroyed their future. JKDFP stressed upon people to remain vigilant against these anti-Kashmir power thirsty elements at every point of time.
The people living in the disputed territory are fighting for right to self-determination and they cannot be satisfied with mere slogans or. People of all sorts have rendered tremendous sacrifices to achieve their right and every one among us is duty bound to safeguard these cherished sacrifices.
The party paid tributes to Mohammad Amir saying that his killing was a cold blooded by the men in uniform. The party spokesperson assured the parents of Mohammad Amir to safeguard the sacrifice of their son at any cost. He extended his condolences and sympathies to all the grieved families whose members were killed recently by Indian forces or their collaborators. (KNS)
