Budgam, Jun 29 (KNS): Social activist and National Tv Debater Inam Un Nabi inaugurated Rehmatal lil Aalameen T-20 cricket tournament at Sports Stadium Budgam.The tournament is being organized by the Rehmatal lil Alameen Foundation. Chairman RLA Foundation Sheikh Firdouse, Social activists Umar Wani, Firdouse Nabi and Mohammad Shafi Bandh were present on the occasion. 32 teams from the district and adjoining areas are participating in the tournament.

Addressing the young cricketers, Inam Un Nabi said young men active in sports and physical activities were likely to possess better intellect and shine more in formal education as well as in other fields of life besides having an improved health condition.

Inam said organising tournaments for different sports was a welcome development considering that this becomes instrumental in utilizing their time in productive work rather than wasting in useless activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Firdouse said that the main aim of organizing this tournament is to nourish the sports talent and development of team spirit in the youth of the district.

Umar Wani said that Budgam is very fertile place both in education and Sports. He advised the youth to take part in the sports activities so that they can prove their mettle in State and national level sports. (KNS)
