Illicit timber, vehicle siezed in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Oct 01 (KNS): Forest Department on Thursday seized a large quantity of illicit timber in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to KNS, a four wheeler sumo without number plate was on its way to Kangan was siezed by a forest check post at Kachpura.
As per ofticials, a large quantity of illegally cut timber was recovered from the siezed vehicle.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been set into motion.
As per official sources, the vehicle was confiscated by the Forest Department employees, however the driver of the sumo vehicle managed to escape from the spot. (KNS)
