Srinagar, Aug 12 (KNS): Sana Gulzar, a student of Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE, College of Education, Srinagar) has bagged top position in Annual College road race organized by Department of physical education Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Srinagar.
Government College of Education is the premier secondary teachers training institute that has successfully completed sixty years of its existence.
Sana participated in poster competition held by Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society on International Youth Day.
Focusing on the theme of deforestation, she represented the contemporary agony of forest degradation and destruction. The painting shows the earth seeking mercy to stop the heinous act in order to have a better, assured as well as sustained future for the generations to come.
She bagged 4th position in this tough competition. The idea and philosophy behind the painting was applauded by Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Maqsooda Khan and other dignitaries of the event like Dr. Tabassum Jabeen, Dy. Director, J&K State AIDS Control Society was the Chief Guest of the function.
Besides all the activities, Sana is a budding creative photographer of the valley working under the esteemed guidance of Arshid Sauleh (Art Teacher) who is an artist of global repute.
She has performed in various college level exhibitions and competitions where she has proved to be an innovative and creative photographer by adding an extra aroma to the scenic beauty of the valley.
She is going to perform in various creative photography events to be organized in Mumbai and Delhi in the coming months where she will be representing the institute and state as well. (KNS)
