Highway closure decision aimed at to curtail civil liberties: Anjuman Shari Shian

Budgam, Apr 05 (KNS): Anjuman Shari Shian has condemned the decision of the state government’ to ban civilian traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar-Baramulla highway for two days every week to facilitate movement of forces’ convoys.

Anjuman Shari Shian spokesperson has called for “immediate review” of the “anti-people” and “undemocratic” decision.

He said such measures “would trigger a humanitarian crisis” in Kashmir.

He said state government should not carve a militaristic identity. “It has made a mockery of civil liberties and will have a long-term impact,” he said. (KNS)
