'End policy of letting youth to join armed struggle'

Srinagar, Nov 18 (KNS): Democratic Liberation Party (DLP) chairman, Hashim Qureshi Saturday hailed the returning of Majid Khan from the armed struggle, saying that several mothers like ace footballer's are wailing for their sons who have joined the militant ranks in Kashmir.
In a statement issued to KNS, he said that Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, Hizb chief, Syed Salah-ud-din and LeT chief Hafiz Syed should refrain from letting the sons of others to become vicitms of violence.
He urged government to rehabilitate the youth who have shun the path of violence. “We should get united to save the new generation of Kashmir,” he said.
Qureshi asked the Police and forces to change their behavior towards the people. He also said that prisoners languishing in different jails are facing hardships. “The prisoners must be released at earliest and the dialogue is the only way to resolve the issues,” he said. (KNS)
