Handwara villages get one hour power in a day

Handwara, Apr 21 (KNS): Dozens of villages in Handwara and its main is facing electricity shortage due to faulty transformer system at the main supply grid.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the locals said that they get power for one hour in 24 hours that has affected their daily chorus and studies of students.

"When the holy month of Ramadhan is inching closer, we don't see any hope of adequate power supply as the main grid has malfunctioned transformer system," they said and blamed the Power Development Department (PDD) officials of Handwara for the mess due to their lethargic work culture. (KNS)
