Says those involved in ghastly act should be punished

Srinagar, Jul 21 (KNS): Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former law minister, Mir Saifullah on Saturday demanded that the case of a minor Kupwara boy, Umar Farooq should be handed over to Crime Branch (CB).
Mir Saifullah told KNS that the case must be handed over to CB to ensure speedy investigation of the heinous crime. “It has been observed that cases being investigated by the police are taking time. So, we demand it should be handed over to ensure speedy inquiry over the incident to identify the killers,” he said.
He said that the Governor led administration must fulfill the demand. “In case the demands don’t meet, the people residing in Kupwara would be forced to come on streets to protest over the issue,” he said.
He said that those involved in the ghastly act should be arrested and dealt with strictly according to the law. (KNS)
