Budgam, Jun 17 (KNS): Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF), Hakeem Yaseen who is also head of the Syed Saleh Trust Khansahib, on Monday reviewed arrangements for the weeklong celebrations of the annual Urs of Syed Saleh, Khan Sahib in Central district Budgam, with the concerned officers of district administration Budgam. The Urs is schedule to commence from June 21 upto June 26, 2019.

Hakeem Yaseen asked the officers to make fool proof arrangements for smooth conduct of the annual Urs of reverred saint Syed Saleh .He asked the concerned officers to keep essentials commodities readily available to the devotees besides ensuring uninterrupted drinking water and power supply from June 20,2019 till the culmination of Urs Mubarik.

Hakeem Yaseen also reviewed transport arrangements made for ferrying devotees from and to Khan Sahib. He emphasized that an adequate number of passenger vehicles should be deployed so that devotees do not face any inconvenience. Hakeem Yaseen also urged for making robust garbage dumping system on daily basis to ensure cleanliness and hygienic conditions in and around the shrine of Syed Saleh, who is revered in very high esteem and faith by the people from all over the state. For this purpose, he directed Municipal authorities to reactivate men and machinery at the ground level. He asked the health department to set up special first aid camps on way to Khansahib to meet any exigency.

The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Syed Sehrish assured that there will be no let up in ensuring better and foolproof arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Urs celebrations of revered saint Syed Saleh. She said all concerned officers and field agencies deployed on special Urs duty have been directed to perform their duties with dedication and commitment so that devotees do not face any difficulty and get better services.
