Urges Guv led admin to ‘provide loans to corporations, create job opportunities’


Srinagar, Dec 06 (KNS): Urging Governor led administration in the State to provide loans to the corporations to generate employment for the youth, LJP National spokesperson and youth president, Sanjay Saraf on Thursday said that the decision to change JK Bank into PSU was aimed to avoid a probe into the fraud over group mediclaim health insurance scheme.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent, addressing a news conference here at Kashmir Press Club, Sanjay Saraf said that the assertions made by Dr Farooq Abdullah are nothing but mere an eye-wash and nobody should pay heed over his speeches. “Dr Farooq has never stood affirm over his statements. What he has told media persons yesterday, he should have made such statement public much earlier to prove his honesty,” he said.
On Wednesday, Former chief minister and National Conference (NC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that the design to take over the J&K Bank was in the pipeline since his tenure as Chief Minister in the State.
“I remember when I was the Chief Minister and the Bank was working well, I was in the office of Home Minister L K Advani along with Deputy Chairman planning commission K C Panth and they were saying that the bank is going down and it should be taken over,” Dr Farooq had said, adding that “Luckily, Business Standard, a daily from newspaper from Mumbai had published a complete report on JK bank and showed how good it was. “I sent those reports to them and I am glad that Panth spoke to me on the phone and said his information was wrong,” Dr Farooq added.
However, Saraf said that the NC president should have made these assertions public at the very time when he felt that New Delhi is trying to take over the JK Bank. “Nobody should pay heed over his assertions,” he said.
He added that the Guv led administration instead of making such controversial decisions should win the hearts of people by granting loans to the corporations in the Valley so that the youth could be encouraged and would be employed.
“There is a need to generate employment in the Valley as the youth despite highly qualified are still unemployed,” he said. (KNS)
